Four Tractor-Trailers Involved In Fatal Crash That Shut Down I-81 In Maryland (Developing)

Several tractor-trailers and at least two vehicles were involved in a fatal crash that shut down the southbound lanes of I-81 on Friday morning in Washington County.

Police say that at least four tractor-trailers were involved, and one person has been confirmed killed as of 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, closing down the roadway.

No information about other possible injuries has been released, and a Maryland State Police helicopter has reportedly been called in to possibly airlift other patients.

I-81 will remain closed at the scene of the crash as state police continue to investigate.
